This very confiding bird turned up on Par Beach Pool on the last weekend in March 2011, where it remained on and off for three or four days, before re-locating to St Andrew's Pool some half a mile away. Normally seen through a good scope a considerable distance off-shore down here in Cornwall, this bird was a great late winter bonus, and much photographed. The pictures above were taken at Par Beach, and those below at St Andrew's.
